To begin our study together, we will embark into Jack's "I hate poetry" world. http://www.sharoncreech.com/novels/01.asp By reading this book aloud, we will devise poetry rules that we can then use.
Let's begin...
Read the first two entries of this book:

What feelings do you hear?
What is the attitude you hear?
Describe what Jack looks like
What is his perspective?

R.P... I am so glad you are commenting already! I remember having to write a poetry anthology in grade 7 and not knowing where to start. I felt like poetry was another language to me! I can connect to Jack and you...
Ms. P.
I love how Sharon Creech says that Jack's voice "whoosh"..."jumped out." I wonder whose voices will jump out of all of you as you write and as you wear masks? Masks can free us to take on another identity. Think of the Samurai mask and the Pre-columbian mask I wore today...Ms. P
i wonder why sharon creech never posted her her poem book online?
